It's your Union: Get Involved!
If you would like to get more active in NGSU and enjoy a new challenge, then you should think about becoming an NGSU Representative.
Being involved in the Union needn't be too onerous or time consuming, but is a vital one for the success of the Union. Full training is given at every stage and the Agreement that NGSU have with Nationwide allows for time off for Union duties.
In addition to Representatives there is scope for you to become involved in other areas of the Union's activities.
We have a panel of Disciplinary Officers representing members at both informal and formal hearings, when required. Advisory Committees, Safety Representatives, the Standing Orders Committee who run Conference, and of course, you may decide to stand for election to the National Executive Committee.
